The hat looks so amazing, I actually fell in love with the pattern and will really have to try my hands at it soon! And the wristwarmers are so gorgeous too, the yarn you've been using seems to be the perfect one - soft, cozy and warm! But oops - do you guys ever get a chance to wear them over there? ;)
And that Shaved Ice... gosh, I'm drooling all over here, this looks so mega-yummy!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15852655.post-1165985156236640342006-12-12T18:45:00.000-10:002006-12-12T18:45:00.000-10:00The wrist warmers look fabulous and that shave ice...The wrist warmers look fabulous and that shave ice looks oh so ono!Opalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05721882634044972063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15852655.post-1165956881038447402006-12-12T10:54:00.000-10:002006-12-12T10:54:00.000-10:00Love the hat color, I'm sure your niece will as we...Love the hat color, I'm sure your niece will as well. This puts that pickup edge at the fold line. I like it picked up RS and knit stockinette for almost the width of the braid, then switch directions for the rest of the cap. This a smooth stockinette "hat band" next to the forehead and smooth stockinette facing the outside above the braid. Did that make sense?

The fold is still a bit clunky -- I'm experimenting with different stitches. --sylbeadlizardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03345991066699824794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15852655.post-1165947368061959372006-12-12T08:16:00.000-10:002006-12-12T08:16:00.000-10:00I love the hat! Then there's no "ridge".

Take care!Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05145855756986253836noreply@blogger.com
