Not sure what kind of flower this is, but it sure jumped out at me in all it's orangeness.
merry christmas to you and your family and totoros too! nice looking (needle felted?) acorn!
ReplyDeleteThat is some kind of ginger... there are a kajillion species, so I can't tell you which one, but I recognize it from the leaves and the flower shape/construction. When I lived in Hawaii I always wanted to plant a ginger garden but never got the chance. They're freaky plants.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!
Merry Christmas! I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
ReplyDeleteI love that scene. So adorable.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I was just looking at this pattern this morning for these knitted fur trees! I love yours! I bet it was a joy to knit these up! It would be so much fun to hang the tinest ornaments on them.
ReplyDeleteme again....i'm watching this movie on azn tv (digital 132) a japanese movie titled "wool" - it's a kinda artsy movie about this knitting girl - it's showing again at 7-9pm tonite, maybe i'll dvr it,only watching bits and pieces cause we're putting in a new tv and the house is a mess and everyone is tugging at me here and there and i can't focus - i just want to sit and knit....

ReplyDeleteThe totoros are really cute! That plant is just beautiful. The orange is very striking. I haven't crocheted a lei in awhile but when I use to, the Ohai Alii was my favorite to do. I had some red in it but loved to crochet with the orange. Have a great New Year!
ReplyDeleteforgot to say, thanks for the tree-knitting link! Cuteness :)
