Peacock Must Have Cardigan, FO

Pattern: Paton's Must Have Cardigan, from Street Smart
Yarn: Paton's Classic Merino wool in Peacock, 7 balls
Size: Made the largest size and added 4 stitches on each side of back and on armhole side of fronts as the ladies on Ravelry all said this pattern runs small. I followed the length directions for the small for this cropped cardigan as I'm short, but think perhaps another inch might have been better to cover the sins. I like the length of the sleeves.
Needles: Knit Picks options
I'm still looking for the right buttons. The ones I have on are too small.

It's been a busy season with two sisters visiting with their families. I admit I missed the fireworks New Year's Eve as I fell asleep, but my son managed to catch a few aerials. I received a huge Totoro Tissue cover for Christmas as well as a Cat bus and a pile of acorns:)

The "girls" had dinner at the Prince Court Buffet New Year's Day while the "boys" hunkered down for all day football. The food was lovely and the carved veggies were so cool.

Next up? The Bar Harbor Shell Bag

Here's to 2008! Happy Knitting, creating and crafting everyone!

i love your must have cardigan - might we see it live at tomorrow night's meet-up? what color are you thinking of for the bar harbor shell bag?

Oh it's lovely! I've a question for you about how you measured the back; will save it for tomorrow night. My visitors are causing me no end to distractions, and I've made a few errors in mine, due to distractedness. I fixed some, left one miscrossed cable as a bit of wabi-sabi, because of the aforementioned distractions. Grrrr...hopefully I'll be around tomorrow to fawn all over the FO. You should be so proud!

I won't be at MJ tonight -- I'll still be flying back from the mainland. But I will see you next week!

It looks great. Good job of altering the pattern to fit you. I like the term "sins" - I just had a similar situation - except I complained about my sweater/jeans gap creating the "midraft"

Best wishes for a very happy new year.

way to ring in the new year -- a fabulous finished object. i love all the details to be savored. can't wait to see it on you in person tonight. i don't know about your neighborhood but it's been chilly enough on the north shore to warrant such a garment. my light green shrunken cardigan just won't do! did you see akamaiknitter's documentation of our silliness last week? you too are akamai.

I love it! It looks just perfect. Can't wait to finish mine.

Living in Hawaii, will you get much use out of it?? My husband was born and raised in Honolulu, went to Punahou, but only goes back for very occasional vacations now. We went to Hawaii together once and he had me pack only tee shirts/shorts. First thing I did when I got there was buy a sweatshirt!
